Mathematics Scholarship Contest
Mathematics is at the centre of so much of our everyday. From our day to day lives, to the future workplace it’s pivotal. So, it’s incredibly important for children to have the best grasp possible of this amazing subject. Hence we want to encourage and entice the students of the future to show their interest in mathematics and inspire the future generations.
Mathematics Scholarship Contest
If you are interested in joining our $1000 scholarship, you need to start applying now. Students who are interested are required to create a short video of 2-3 minutes. The video needs to showcase the power of mathematics in an everyday situation of you choosing.
The $1000 scholarship will then be used to finance the winner’s education.
Terms of Participation.
The scholarship will only go to one person who wins.
The video should not last for more than 2 or 3 minutes long. In the video, you need to cover the following topics
- The importance of maths in everyday society
- How mathematics can benefit us globally
- Show how your love of math and the benefits associated with it
- Why it is incredibly important in the 21st century.
The individual who submits the best video entry will qualify for a $1000 scholarship to help them further their education.
Eligibility
This scholarship will only be eligible to college or technical school, trade school and high school students.
How are videos judged?
We will look at very many things when judging video entries. These include; creativity, clarity and how the subject matter was shown in the video.
Application Submission.
Make sure that your video is no more than 3 minutes. To apply, go to YouTube, upload your video and for the title use 11 Plus Tutors in Essex Scholarship Program. In the description box, include a link to the page.
Once you have finished, send an email to scholarships@11plustutorsinessex.co.uk. Provide the video link in the body of your message. Include the following information.
- Your name in full
- Mailing address
- Your contact number
- Give the name of where you attend school
- Provide evidence to show that you are a student in the school you mentioned and the subject you are currently studying.
- One condition is that your video will be used for promotions once you submit your video entry.
Deadline.
Submit your entries by March 31, 2016, and the winner will be named on April 15, 2016. We will choose another winner in case the scholarship is not claimed within 14 days after the winner is let known.
This contest takes place annually.
